Officials are investigating after a dead body was found near the Mississippi River in Minneapolis on Saturday night.
Minneapolis Park police said that at around 6 p.m., authorities responded to a report of a body found in a wooded area near East River Parkway and Oak Street.
The person was found dead; however, their cause of death is unknown at this time.
More information is expected to be released by the Hennepin County Medical Center and Minneapolis Park police regarding the death.
