Timberwolves betting on versatility and Anthony Edwards’ rise as championship pursuit continues

The Minnesota Timberwolves entered Media Day Monday with no shortage of optimism, despite one of the busiest offseasons of the Tim Connelly era.

After a playoff run that fell short of expectations, the Wolves reshaped much of their roster, bringing in LaMelo Ball and Jonathan Kuminga while moving on from several key veterans. Yet both president of basketball operations Tim Connelly and coach Chris Finch made it clear the franchise’s ultimate ambition remains unchanged: competing for an NBA championship.

“We’re very aware of what we have to overcome and how difficult that task will be,” Connelly said. “We think we’re more prepared than ever.”
