For years, Minnesota Wild general manager Bill Guerin has talked about patience, development and building an organization capable of sustained success.
Entering his eighth season in Minnesota, Guerin believes that part of the job is finished.
Now, he says, it is time to win.
“We’re a team that has everybody – players, coaches, staff – everybody has put in the time, the effort and the patience to get to a certain point,” Guerin said in an interview with 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS sports director Chris Long. “We’re not at a position right now where we’re just going to say, ‘Hey, we want to take another step and we want to keep building.’ We’ve done that. Now the expectation is to win.”
