Minnesota health insurance rates rising up to 21% in 2027

Thousands of Minnesotans will soon pay more for health insurance after insurers finalized higher rates for 2027.

The Minnesota Department of Commerce announced Thursday that individual market rates will increase between 9.9% and more than 21.1%, affecting about 203,000 Minnesotans who buy coverage in that market.

In the small-group market, rates will rise from 10.6% to 21.4%, affecting about 184,000 people, according to the state.
