Situation in St. Peter that prompted law enforcement presence now resolved

A situation in St. Peter that drew a large law enforcement presence on Thursday afternoon has been resolved.

The St. Peter Police Department was helping the Nicollet County Sheriff’s Office with an investigation on Cedar Ridge Road and near Bunker and Washington avenues at around 2:30 p.m.

Chopper 5 was over the scene and captured multiple law enforcement officials searching a field in the area.

In a later update, St. Peter police said the situation has been resolved; however, it’s unknown what happened or whether anyone was injured.

Nicollet County said that Cedar Ridge Road will remain closed while the investigation is completed.
