KSTP/SurveyUSA poll: Early frontrunner in Secretary of State race, State Auditor neck and neck

Minnesota Republicans haven’t won a statewide office since Tim Pawlenty won a second term as governor in 2006, but the GOP seemingly has a couple of good opportunities this fall.

A week after the primary election, results of a new KSTP/SurveyUSA poll show the party’s Secretary of State candidate trailing the DFL incumbent but not by a lot, while the race for State Auditor is a dead heat.

Both of those races still have a large number of undecided voters 11 weeks from the November election, a segment that will be fascinating to watch over the coming weeks.
