Green Line extension scheduled to open in June 2027

After years of construction, the METRO Green Line extension will begin service in 2027.

Metropolitan Council leaders announced Saturday that the 14.5-mile extension will begin service June 12, 2027. The nearly $3 billion project will connect Minneapolis and St. Paul to St. Louis Park, Hopkins, Minnetonka and Eden Prairie.
