This week we got an early look at where the races for statewide office stand in our first KSTP/SurveyUSA poll since the primaries.
In the race for governor, U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar has the largest margin by far, a 52% to 36% advantage over her Republican challenger, House Speaker Lisa Demuth. Meanwhile, Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan has a 5-point lead (46% to 41%) over Michele Tafoya for Tina Smith’s seat in the U.S. Senate.
The contest for attorney general is deadlocked between incumbent DFLer Keith Ellison and Republican Ron Schutz, but 15% of voters have said they are undecided.
