Whether or not Republican Sen. Mitch McConnell returns to the Senate Monday could impact a key farm bill vote.

KENTUCKY, USA — Speculation over Sen. Mitch McConnell’s health has remained front and center throughout the summer, with few clear answers about his condition or when he will return to the Senate.

The Senate is nearing the end of a five-week recess and is scheduled to return to session at 3 p.m. Eastern on Monday, Sept. 14. The first vote is tentatively scheduled for around 5:30 p.m. Eastern.

McConnell, R-Ky., has been absent from the Senate since June 14, when he fell inside of his Washington, D.C., home and later experienced a mild case of pneumonia.
