Vikings set 53-man roster for upcoming season

With the preseason in the rearview mirror and the regular season just weeks away, the Vikings have finalized their initial 53-man roster.

There was much speculation about whether J.J. McCarthy would make the cut after a shaky training camp and preseason, but he was included on the roster, meaning that four quarterbacks are currently on the squad.

Some surprising cuts included RB Zavier Scott, P Johnny Hekker, DL Isaiahh Loudermilk and S Tavierre Thomas.
