It was a hot and humid finish to August across Minnesota, with highs reaching the 90s today in parts of the area. We stay muggy tonight, with mostly clear skies and lows falling into the upper 60s.
The main pattern this week is very warm, humid, and somewhat unsettled, especially during the evening and overnight hours.
Tuesday, State Fair Day 6, will be partly cloudy and very warm with highs in the upper 80s. Most of the day looks dry, but showers and thunderstorms become possible late Tuesday night.
Wednesday stays seasonably warm, with highs in the mid-80s. Another round of showers and storms is likely late Wednesday night.
Thursday is a little tricky. A few showers or storms are possible very early, then again very late, but most daylight hours should remain dry. That is good news for fairgoers, with highs climbing back into the upper 80s.
