MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota — A Minneapolis-funded program is bringing more creative arts and culture to downtown and other parts of the city.
The Vibrant Storefronts Initiative helps creative groups lease vacant storefront spaces. All 13 awardees of the program are now active.
"Direct investment into the arts goes a long way," said Denimani Livingstone, a fashion designer and founder of Grainline.
Grainline, located off Hennepin Avenue in Loring Park, is not only a retail space and workroom but a resource for emerging designers in the Twin Cities.
