Tuesday brings next chance for rain

As we start off the new week, temperatures are overall going to be on a downward trend. Monday begins with lows in the upper 50s as we’ve seen lately, but highs could top out in the low 70s with peeks of sunshine between the clouds.

Monday night, rain comes in from the Southwest and will bring us back the gray and gloomy weather. Expect rain in the metro to hold off through the morning commute, but begin by late morning to midday. Widespread chance of a half inch is likely, with some areas getting some more substantial rainfall rates and picking up around 1″ of rain in total. Highs will stagnate in the mid 60s.

Shower chances linger into Wednesday, with a chance for temps to still make it to 70 as clouds break up in the afternoon. This will be conditional on the timing of the rain, and we may see some remain only in the upper 60s. Total additional rain would likely be less than a quarter inch.
