TRUTH TEST: Anti-Klobuchar TV ad gets C –

A 15-second television ad attacking DFL gubernatorial candidate Amy Klobuchar makes the argument she worked to enable Somali Minnesotans to send fraud money back to Somalia.

However, most of the evidence the ad cites dates back to 2015, more than five years before the “Feeding our Future” fraud scandal began. That is still the single biggest fraud case in Minnesota.

“When investigators shut down cash transfers to Somalia to stop money laundering, Amy Klobuchar went to work lobbying to keep cash moving,” the ad states.
