Teasley encouraged by J.J. McCarthy’s growth, says Vikings QB faces ‘Hardest Job in Sports’

Minnesota Vikings General Manager Nolan Teasley stressed that assembling the team’s roster is a continuous process, not a one-time event, as the organization finalized its initial 53-man roster and continued shaping the team through waiver claims and other personnel moves.

Speaking Wednesday, Teasley described roster construction as an ongoing effort focused on building depth throughout the organization.

“There’s no finish line,” Teasley said. “It never stops.”

Teasley said the Vikings view their roster beyond the traditional 53-man limit, emphasizing what he called a “70 over 53” approach that accounts for practice squad players and future additions during the season.
