WASHINGTON — Automaker Stellantis has issued a recall for 848,511 U.S. market vehicles due to a software glitch that might prevent the rearview camera image from appearing on the vehicle's media screen.

The recall affects some 2026 and 2027 Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram models. The company said in a statement that it's unaware of any crashes or injuries related to the software issue.

If the rearview camera image doesn't appear, drivers should remain aware of their surroundings and use rearview and side mirrors when reversing, the company said.
