'No indication' human remains found near Tucson are connected to Nancy Guthrie case

TUCSON, Ariz. — Human remains have been reportedly been discovered in a desert area in the southern region of Tucson, KPNX reported.

The Pima County Sheriff's Department said Monday the remains were found near Ajo Way and La Cholla Boulevard and appear to have been at that location for an extended period of time.

The remains do not appear to be connected to the investigation into the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, the sheriff's department said.
