St. Joseph hit-and-run: Police looking for car with front-end damage after scooter crash

St. Joseph police are looking for the driver who hit and injured a person on a scooter before driving off this weekend.

According to investigators, the suspected car likely has front-end damage and possibly a damaged windshield.

Police say the crash happened at the intersection of Minnesota Street E and 12th Avenue SE between 11:35 p.m. on Saturday and 12:15 a.m. on Sunday. Evidence collected so far shows that the car was likely heading southbound on 12th Avenue SE when the crash happened.

Police did not release any more information or photos of the car.

Any witnesses to the crash or anyone with camera footage of it is being asked to call the St. Joseph Police Department at (320) 363-8250.
