Good Tuesday morning!
Heavy rain and thunderstorms overnight left anywhere from 1” to nearly 4” of rain across the Twin Cities.
The heaviest rain fell across the west metro area from Minnetonka through Plymouth to the north and west.
Another area of heavier rain fell across the north metro area, extending north to Brainerd. One to three inches of rain fell in these areas.
We will still see a few showers and possibly a thunderstorm until midday and then things will slowly dry out this afternoon with only a few spotty showers at times.
Sunshine returns on Wednesday along with comfortable temperatures in the 70s.
A line of thunderstorms, possibly heavy or severe will break out late Friday and Friday night as the big cooldown heads our way for the weekend!
