Scholarship honoring Alex Pretti is awarded to students pursuing healthcare

MINNEAPOLIS — Six months after Alex Pretti was shot and killed by federal agents, the memorial honoring him remains vibrant, filled with messages, flowers and reminders of the impact he had on his community. 

For Mica O’Herlihy, the memorial has also become a place to return to during moments of uncertainty.

“It helps shush the imposter syndrome and just remind me, like, I can do this,” O’Herlihy said. “And, like, they believe in me, so, like, why can’t I?”
