Minnetonka coach saved with CPR and AED after suffering sudden cardiac arrest

MINNEAPOLIS — For a 45-year-old, Jon Toftoy is in great shape.

"I've raced road bikes professionally for a number of years," he said. "If you ski the Birkie – I'm in the elite wave, so I race against the fast guys."

He exercises so much, it's almost comical.

"Any room I'm in, I'm always like, 'Well, I'm the healthiest guy here," Toftoy laughed.

And, combined with no family history of heart problems, that makes Toftoy about the last person you'd expect to suffer sudden cardiac arrest.
