Taking over for a legendary coach is never easy. Taking over for your father adds another layer. But for first-year Centennial football coach Michael Diggins, the transition has been about as smooth as possible.
After spending years as an assistant under his dad, Mike Diggins, Michael stepped into the head coaching role this season. Mike led the Cougars for 15 seasons and remains on staff, now serving as his son’s running backs coach in his 38th year with the program.
