One Minneapolis elementary school closed since 2005 is on track to reopen

The Link nonprofit is expected to close on the old Willard Elementary, along with the Gordon school property, by the end of the year.

MINNEAPOLIS — Minneapolis Public Schools announced this week that it's considering closing as many as 16 schools, and some are on the city's north side.

The potential schools, included in three options the district administrators presented to the board on Tuesday, include Bethune, Cityview and Hmong International Academy.
