Flooding in New Richland is forcing residents and businesses to wait as water slowly recedes and recovery work continues.
Rain was falling again on Monday in southern Minnesota as New Richland dealt with serious flooding affecting 1,200 people. The town saw more than nine inches of rain this weekend, and there is not much anyone can do until the water recedes, which is starting to happen, but damage remains across the community, including at the baseball field.
