New Minnesota law closes school bus safety loophole

When your child steps on a school bus this week, the biggest danger may be the cars driving past it. 

After 514 school bus passing violations were recorded in one day statewide, Minnesota is cracking down.

According to the National Safety Council, 4- to 7-year-olds are most at risk, usually within 10 feet of school buses and usually when a driver is passing the bus, whether legally or illegally.
