Hopkins schools working to address issue of nearly 100 late buses in 1st week

A west metro school district had nearly 100 late school buses in its first week of school — it’s an issue district leadership said they’re working to address ahead of week two. 

According to a log of late buses Hopkins Public Schools keeps, dozens of buses did not arrive on time for students across the district, leaving families frustrated and calling for change. 

For the Dennis family, their middle schooler had multiple delays, waiting an hour one of the days. 

“On Friday he called me around 8:45, and school starts at 8:40, and said the bus is still not here. And I was trying to figure out: [Did we] just miss the bus?” Jenny Dennis said.
