NASA is funding aerospace job training for thousands in Minnesota

Minnesota is now one of seven new NASA workforce hubs across the U.S., opening a new path for aerospace job training across the state.

The Transportation Center of Excellence in Rosemount will lead the three-year effort focused on connecting students from Minnesota State and other colleges with aerospace careers.

The program, which gives $1.5 million to Minnesota State, aims to enroll up to 2,400 students with other opportunities for apprenticeships and internships, according to the university.

“We are thrilled that this funding further solidifies the role of Minnesota State as the backbone of the state’s workforce development system and bolsters our commitment to preparing students for successful and meaningful careers,” said Scott Olson, chancellor of Minnesota State.
