Motorcycle brake failure sends 2 juveniles to hospital in northern Minnesota

Two juveniles on a motorcycle were taken to the hospital Thursday after a pickup truck hit them, according to the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities responded near Hill Road in Wuori Township around 7:45 p.m. Investigators said the juveniles were traveling down their driveway towards Hill Road when their brakes failed, when the pickup truck was passing by.

According to the sheriff’s office, the pickup driver could not stop in time because of thick foliage blocking the driveway.

One of the kids was taken to the hospital with a broken leg, and the other was hospitalized with minor injuries.

Investigators said alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
