Minnesota man, 73, sentenced for attacking wife with hammer before Amazon driver intervened

A 73-year-old Chisago County man has been sentenced to nearly 13 years in prison after an Amazon driver stopped him from killing his wife with a hammer, according to court documents.

James Alan Johnson was taken into custody on May 11 following the harrowing incident, which police say was fueled by looming financial ruin.
