As gas prices continue to rise across the United States, Minnesotans are waking up on Thursday with another record high as drivers can now expect to pay $4.38 a gallon on average for regular gas, according to AAA.
The 14 cent jump from Wednesday’s average comes as the price of gas continues to spike globally due to the ongoing conflict between the United States and Iran.
5 EYEWITNESS NEWS stopped at a few different pumps across the Twin Cities metro area, the highest being $4.49 a gallon at a station in St. Paul.
The price increase comes just weeks after gas dropped below $4 a gallon in Minnesota ahead of Labor Day weekend.
