Minnesota early voting: 63,300 ballots cast in first 2 weeks, tops 2022 numbers

Minnesota election officials said more than 63,396 ballots were cast in the first two weeks of early voting for the November election.

The Office of the Minnesota Secretary of State (SOS) said more than 426,403 absentee and mail ballots had been distributed since voting began on Sept. 18.

Officials said more than 26,174 voters cast their ballots in person and 37,222 were returned by mail. That total is ahead of the same point in 2022, according to the SOS Office.

In 2022, about 49,500 Minnesotans voted in person or by mail in the first two weeks, nearly 14,000 more ballots. Officials said local election offices sent out more than 243,400 absentee and mail ballots.
