Infant, toddler and 2 adults injured in Becker County buggy crash

Four people were injured, including a toddler and an infant, on Thursday after a truck reportedly collided with a horse-drawn buggy.

The Becker County Sheriff’s Office said the crash occurred just before 6:37 p.m. on County Road 122.

A truck driven by a 39-year-old Detroit Lakes man was heading west when it collided with the buggy, which a 23-year-old man was driving. Also in the buggy were a 23-year-old woman and two children, a toddler and an infant. All four were injured and transported for medical care.

The severity of their injuries is not known at this time. The truck driver was unharmed.

At this time, no alcohol or drugs are suspected, and the cause of the accident remains under investigation.
