On Instagram, Matthews said she "will not be continuing the show at this moment."

Days after the release of season five of "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives," star Mikayla Matthews announced on social media that she would not be continuing with the show.

In an Instagram caption featuring a dress from the opening sequence of season five, Matthews wrote, "I made my decision over a week ago, after hearing some news, that I will not be continuing the show at this moment."

She went on to write, "I’m not comfortable being a part of something that continues to platform behavior I don’t agree especially given my own experience growing up in a home with multiple forms of abuse."
