CHAMPLIN, Minn. — The future of automated license plate reader cameras in Champlin remains uncertain after the police department temporarily removed all of the city's Flock Safety cameras in August. The cameras were removed after police said two were stolen last month, which would require the city to pay for repairs and replacements.
During an open forum at the Champlin City Council meeting on Monday, some residents expressed concerns about the cameras over various issues, including privacy and data retention.
