Man who died in Six Flags Over Georgia roller coaster fall recently survived a fiery car crash, cancer

AUSTELL, Ga. — Police on Tuesday morning identified the rider who fell to his death from a roller coaster the day before at Six Flags Over Georgia as 42-year-old Hassan Jihad Ibn Kariem of Atlanta.

Family members of Kariem told WXIA he was a passionate educator who loved his city and was invested in bringing families back together.
