Republican candidate for U.S. Senate Michele Tafoya has earned the endorsement of President Trump.

At a rally Monday night in Ohio, the president encouraged voters to cast their ballot for Tafoya, adding the former sports reporter was "a very respected person.”

Tafoya responded to the President's nod at a press conference Tuesday morning at the Capitol.

"I heard about that," Tafoya said. "This campaign is about bringing all Minnesotans together, whether they voted for President Trump or whether they voted for Kamala Harris."
