During the Sept. 4 concert at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, multiple entertainment outlets reported that Macklemore said "free Palestine" to the crowd.

WASHINGTON — Grammy winner Macklemore has been dropped from the remaining dates as an opening act on Ed Sheeran's "Loop Tour."

The rapper, best known as half of the hip-hop duo with Ryan Lewis behind chart-topping "Thrift Shop" and "Can't Hold Us," confirmed the removal in a 12-slide post on Instagram.

"I'm not sure how to start this. So I'm going to speak from the heart and share the truth. Ed Sheeran and his team have made the decision to remove me from The Loop tour," Macklemore wrote in the post.
