KSTP Sports spoke Thursday morning with Lynx All-Star guard Courtney Williams and frontcourt All-Star Natasha Howard. The Lynx open the playoffs Sunday vs. New York. But first, it’s a game Thursday night to wrap up the regular season vs. Indiana.

The Minnesota Lynx already know what awaits them in the playoffs. The New York Liberty secured the No. 8 seed, locking in a first-round matchup with the league-leading Lynx. But as Minnesota prepared for its regular-season finale against Indiana on Thursday night, veterans Williams and Howard made it clear their attention remained on one thing: responding after Tuesday’s disappointing loss.

“We got our ass beat,” Williams said bluntly. “So we got to try and get our mojo back before we can start looking forward to New York.”
