Retired FBI Agent Harry Samit wrote a book on the Zacarias Moussaoui case in part because of FBI Headquarters' "conscious bad decisions to protect their own careers"
MINNEAPOLIS — For three and a half weeks leading up to the 9/11 attacks, Special Agent Harry Samit's worst fear was a terrorist attack involving a hijacked plane.
"I would say those weeks were the most frustrating and stress-filled of my life," Samit said in an interview with KARE 11 News.
On August 16th, 2001, Samit and a partner in the Minneapolis FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Force arrested French national Zacarias Moussaoui, a suspicious flight student who came to Eagan and paid cash to learn to fly a 747 jet despite not having a pilot's license or an answer to any basic question.
