Good Thursday morning!
We can expect our morning clouds and fog to give way to some sunny breaks later today.
Temperatures will slowly rise into the 70s today.
Another round of showers will move into the state Thursday late at night.
The showers developing tonight will be the first in a series of waves of rain, some heavy along with possible thunderstorms which will last into Friday night.
Most of the metro area will likely see an inch or two of rain with some areas seeing as much as 3” to 4” just to the south.
The heavy rain will likely cause ponding water and create much slower speeds on area roads tomorrow. Some flooding is possible across parts of Dakota and Scott counties and points south, where the heavier rain falls.
