VIRGINIA, USA — A plane with U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Markwayne Mullin aboard suffered engine failure and landed safely on Wednesday.
The flight had 14 people aboard, including Mullin, and landed at Ronald Reagan National Airport around 1:35 p.m. after declaring an emergency.
"The United States Coast Guard pilots made the single engine landing feel routine. No panic, just straight professionalism," Mullin said in a social media post. "After we landed, the pilots told me that was a first for them! We could not have been in better hands."
