A husband and father of two was hunting caribou with his cousin when a bear mauled him. Here's what he recalled of the attack.

WALLA WALLA, Wash. — A Washington man is recovering at home after surviving a terrifying grizzly bear attack while hunting in a remote part of northern Alaska.

Jadon Nicoara, 27, a husband and father of two, was hunting caribou with his cousin, Dan, last Thursday when he heard a noise behind him and turned to see the bear charging at him, mouth open and growling.

"This bear is running full speed, like out of the movies. It was insane," Nicoara said.

The bear bit into his face, and he said he could hear the bones in his nose crunching as it attacked.
