Highway 280 to reopen less than a week before Minnesota State Fair begins

ST PAUL, Minn. — The Minnesota Department of Transportation is doing its part to alleviate the anguish of Minnesota State Fair traffic.

MnDOT announced Thursday that Highway 280 will reopen in both directions early Friday, Aug. 21, just ahead of this year's Great Minnesota Get-Together, which kicks off Thursday, Aug. 27. Officials added that there will be "no significant work" on the highway during the fair.
