Americans' drinking levels remain at record low for second year in a row, new survey finds

WASHINGTON — A new survey found that Americans are drinking less alcohol, matching last year's record low of just 54% of adults drinking alcoholic beverages. 

According to a new Gallup survey released on Wednesday, the number of Americans who say they drink alcohol remained at a record low for another consecutive year. The drop in alcohol consumption comes as more Americans are concerned about alcohol's health effects.
