ST. PAUL, Minn. (FOX 9) - The Minnesota State Fair just announced a new Grandstand show featuring Hairball with special guest Slave Raider that will be free with fair admission to replace a canceled Rod Stewart concert.
New show announced for Sept. 1

Hairball, with special guest Slave Raider, will take the Grandstand stage at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 1.
The venue opens at 6 p.m. and seating is general admission, while the concert is free with fair admission.
The show steps in after Rod Stewart's concert — originally scheduled for that date with special guest Richard Marx — was canceled by the artist on Aug. 11, according to the Minnesota State Fair.

The backstory:
Hairball has been performing for 26 years, bringing a '80s rock tribute experience to fans across the country.
The band recreates the sound and style of acts like Van Halen, KISS, Mötley Crüe and Queen, with pyrotechnics, lights and surprises built into every show.
