Minnesota Speaker Lisa Demuth calls to end the U.S.-Iran war, attributing her stance to escalating food and gas prices.
ST PAUL, Minn. — In a break from the Trump Administration, Minnesota Speaker of the House and GOP gubernatorial candidate, Lisa Demuth, said it was time for the United States to end its war with Iran.
Demuth cited rising prices of food, agricultural costs and gas for her position.
"As we've watched things go forward, it is time to put an end to that war," Demuth said at press conference on Thursday.
Demuth also brought up the fact that President Trump endorsed her primary challenger Mike Lindell, before Demuth ultimately won the contest in August.
