KARE 11 followed Luke Bonte's journey back to the high school football field after a cancer diagnosis in 2017, but his next chapter is even more impressive.
MINNEAPOLIS — When cancer derailed Luke Bonte's high school football season in high school, he leaned on a care team to find hope and healing.
Now he's paying it forward.
"I want everyone that has to deal with an experience like that to always just know that there are people out there that give you that motivation and that will help you through those times," said Bonte, who is now an RN at Fairview Southdale Hospital, where he often works with cancer and hospice patients.
