MnDOT expects the bridge to close in March until at least 2031.
Next month, construction officially begins on one of the state's longest bridges - the Blatnik Bridge.
It's one of two bridges that connect Duluth to Superior, Wisconsin and the Minnesota Department of Transportation plans to close it completely in March for up to five years.
"Yes, we've been very busy," said MnDOT Project Director Patrick Huston, who recently released renderings and the animation of the new bridge that he's been helping plan for the last six years.
"I always say these big projects move like a glacier and a rocket all at the same time," said Huston.
