Clouds linger early week, rain returns by Tuesday

The light rain we’ve had Saturday is wrapping up this evening. We’ve only wound up with around a tenth of an inch of total rainfall, with the slow drizzle soaking in and certainly helping with the drought from the Summer.

Into Sunday, we’re expecting the rain to cease but clouds to linger. In the afternoon some sunshine will peek through and help highs reach the low 70s. Similarly, Monday will have clouds but a little more sunshine should make it a touch warmer.

By Tuesday, moisture will move in from the southwest and bring rain to the Upper Midwest. Western MN would see rain before daybreak, moving East and reaching the Twin Cities metro by late morning to early afternoon. This looks like another gray and gloomy day with mostly gentle rain.
