Cheryl Reeve wins 5th WNBA Coach of the Year with Lynx

Minnesota Lynx head coach Cheryl Reeve has won her fifth WNBA Coach of the Year Award after leading the team to a league-best record of 33-11 and capturing the No. 1 overall seed in the playoffs.

Reeve, who previously won the award in 2011, 2016, 2020 and 2024, is in her 17th season as Minnesota’s head coach. In July, she was picked to coach the 2026 WNBA All-Star Game in Chicago.

Reeve is the winningest WNBA head coach in league history with 397 and took over the No. 1 spot this season.

The Lynx lost Game 1 of their first round matchup with the New York Liberty 91-75.
